MYSTIEK Solar Roof Tiles by Solinso
The Mystiek solar roof tile from Solinso is designed to make sustainability really beautiful. The solar roof tile is placed in the horizontal line with normal roof tiles on the roof, so that they are not or hardly noticeable on the roof. This is in contrast to solar panels that are placed on the roof and thus immediately ruin the entire aesthetic of a roof and house. Mystiek solar roof tiles are particularly suitable for new construction and renovation projects, because the roof tile that is chosen can then be taken into account in the design phase. Mystiek solar roof tiles from Solinso can only be used in combination with some specific models of flat roof tiles.
What are Solinso Mystiek Solar Roof Tiles exactly?
Mystiek solar roof tiles consist of high quality (PERC) monocrystalline solar cells and a plastic frame, which together form the roof tile. These solar roof tiles are part of the building envelope and replace roof tiles. Mystiek solar roof tiles are made in the Netherlands with their own patented design. A lot of attention has been paid to the details, so that the solar roof tiles can easily be placed in line with other roof tiles. The Mystiek solar roof tile produces electricity for at least 25 years; after 25 years still more than 80% of the new value.
THE ADVANTAGES OF MYSTICS SOLAR ROOF TILES AT A GLANCE:
- Part of the building envelope, making the roof water-repellent, storm-resistant, snow-resistant and fire-resistant
- Seamlessly and invisibly integrated into the roof
- High efficiency comparable to regular solar panels installed on top of roof tiles (175-180 Wp/m²)
- Increases not only the aesthetic but also the economic value of the home
- Payback period of less than 5 years for a south-facing solar roof and after accounting for the saved roof tiles
- Better ventilation than other in-roof solar energy systems
- No substructure required
What do MYSTIEK Solar Roof Tiles cost?
Many people are a bit put off by the price of solar roof tiles that are integrated into the roof. Of course, Mystiek solar roof tiles are somewhat more expensive than ‘normal’ solar panels. But you save a lot on other materials and labor, because you no longer need a substructure and roof tiles on site at Mystiek. The labor is therefore simple: For the roof tiles or the sun roof tiles. The value of your home will increase significantly due to the aesthetic appearance that your home gets from the solar roof tiles. It is also a fairly effortless process for the contractor, unlike an in-roof solar panel system. Moreover, by saving roof tiles you save a considerable amount of CO2, because the production of ceramic (clay) roof tiles in particular is very energy intensive.
MYSTIEK Solar Roof Tiles in different sizes
Mystiek solar roof tiles are available in different models and sizes. This is because the Mystiek solar roof tile must fit exactly on specific roof tiles, the width of which is different for each roof tile. In addition, the remaining glass size must provide sufficient surface area for a high solar energy yield. Some of the Mystiek solar roof tiles can be combined with each other. This makes it easier, for example, to fill entire roofs only with solar roof tiles without surrounding roof tiles.
In terms of installation technology, the Mystiek solar roof tiles can be connected to all common inverters, including optimizers and micro-inverters. Just like with a usual solar panel installation, the specifications of the Mystiek solar roof tiles and the inverter are matched.
THE DIFFERENT SIZES AT A GLANCE
Below is an overview of the different sizes of Mystiek solar roof tiles from Solinso. Please note: sometimes the same solar roof tile requires a slightly different installation in combination with a different roof tile. For all installation instructions, see our downloads page.

GENERAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The solar roof tiles are always mounted per column. Just like roof tiles, a roof is filled from bottom right to top left. The solar roof tiles are attached to the underlying battens using screws and hooks, in the same way as the roof tiles are attached. The most important thing is that the dimensions of the roof tiles and the Mystiek solar roof tiles are matched. The cables on the Mystiek panels protrude on the left side, so installation is carried out first. After an entire column has been mounted, the electrical connections are made. This makes installation simple and clear. See also the YouTube video with installation instructions.
