TECHNICAL DESIGN PHASE
Mystique in a new construction project
Integration of Mysticism into an existing roof
NEW CONSTRUCTION AND RENOVATION PROJECTS
- Orientation of the house on the plot showing the orientation of the various roof surfaces in relation to the sun’s orbit.
- Top views and cross-sections from which information about the roof can be obtained (roof length, width of the overhangs, roof slope).
- We use these drawings to draw the Mystiek installation so that we can give you an impression of the intended end result.
We also look at the electrical installation. Our starting point is to design a roof that suffers as little shadow as possible. In some cases this is not possible and there will be multiple roof surfaces or shade from a dormer window or tree. In that case, it may be wiser to design the system to be shade tolerant, for example with SolarEdge. Of course, there are always customers who ask for SolarEdge anyway. Technically this is possible, but requires additional hardware and labor to get it installed.
FITTING INTO EXISTING ROOFS
- Which roof tile is on the roof? Does the brand and type of roof tile on the roof fit with a Mystical product?
- Construction of the shelter: is the batten height sufficient to accommodate the plugs (connectors) and does the current batten height provide sufficient ventilation?
- Is the applied batten spacing within the working area of the intended Mystiek product?
- What is the working width of the roof tiles on the roof? Does this match the intended Mystical product?
- Are sufficient half roof tiles and ventilation tiles available or do they have to be reordered?
- Is the roof base open enough to allow cold air to flow in?
- An existing roof often contains all kinds of obstacles, such as roof penetrations, a chimney, a dormer window and/or a skylight, which may require unforeseen work.
That is why we can only undertake this process if the above information is available and shows that Mysticism can be incorporated.
